  1. Download DisplayLink Ubuntu Drivers
  2. sudo dnf -y upgrade –refresh
  3. Reboot to ensure latest kernel
  4. sudo dnf -y install dkms libdrm-devel openssl
  5. Reboot again to ensure updates
  6. sudo openssl req -new -x509 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout MOK.priv -outform DER -out \ MOK.der -nodes -days 36500 -subj “/CN=Displaylink/”
    • To sign the module for secure boot
  7. sudo mkdir /usr/src/evdi-1.12.0/
  8. mkcd displaylink
  9. Copy extracted ubuntu drivers to ./displaylink
  10. cd evdi/module/
  11. sudo cp * /usr/src/evdi-1.12.0/
  12. sudo dkms build -m evdi -v 1.12.0 –force
  13. sudo dkms install -m evdi -v 1.12.0
  14. cd ~/displaylink
  15. sudo ./displaylink-driver-5.6.1-59.184.run % driver version may have changed - reboot
